What do we do at Step By Step? The day usually begins at 10:30 am with people showing up at the park to register and have some breakfast. Runners turned in 
their money and signed in under their specific categories. We handed out Step By Stept-shirts and participants enjoyed some light breakfast snacks along with some orange juice.
Then at around 11:00 am, we pray together and hand out some prayer cards that list specific items for people
to pray for when they are on the hour-long walk. (You can take home the prayer cards to remember to pray for YFC during your personal prayer time.) Then we walked around a large circular path on a gorgeous spring day. Some people did a little jogging, children got pushed in strollers, but most people just walked. We even saw one scooter being carried by a dad walking along side of his young daughter!After everyone returns from the Walk, we announce winners of prizes in four categories: most money raised by men, women, teens and children 12 and under. We appreciate all of the effort that everyone makes to raise funds for YFC! It all stays in our area to benefit teens throughout the summer months of ministry.
After we celebrate the winners, it's time for our family-style picnic!
While people were walking, Ray L and Adam cooked up lots of hot dogs on the grills and had them ready by the time the walkers returned! Families and friends sat together at the picnic tables, ate the dogs, macaroni and potato 
salads and lots of chips and cookies! Children played games while the adults talked around the tables. It was a good time to renew friendships and make some new ones!Who can come to Step by Step? Anyone can! While we encourage you to raise funds, it's not a requirement for enjoying this time with our YFC staff, hear what God is doing in our midst and just having some fun together.
